WHITE LIES GIG REVIEW - HAMMERSMITH
It's March 2022 - the first gig I have been to since Covid19 happened. It's for a band I have never seen live - White Lies. They were playing @ the EventBrite Hammersmith Apollo. Or just the Hammersmith Apollo, as everyone with a modicum of taste calls it. The band were amazing, powering through the anthems you would expect - Death, Farewell to the Fairground, To Lose My Life, Tokyo and some real bangers from their new record which i am steadily coming to love.

NEW SONGS BEING RECORDED
Been working on the first bunch of tracks for Electric Army Angels. No exact release details are known at this point, but, as our touring schedule will take us into the summer 2020, it is safe to say that a 2019 release looks most likely for album number 1.
There are some initial ideas that I have been playing with in the studio while working on various projects; I was working on something last night that I'm really excited about...
Right now I think it would be a little less up-tempo than the Junkstar stuff.
Exciting times afoot....!

RECORDING ACOUSTIC SONGS
I am busy at work re-arranging some old Junkstar songs along with a few tracks I wrote for my little girl, Iris-Mia when she was born.

HOMELESS BENEFIT BEING PLANNED
The Electric Army Angels will be playing a show for the Homeless Benefit Event that I am helping to put together. The venue will be Sir Christopher Martin's country mansion and we are looking at August to play the gig, host the event and raise money for the homeless, and also launching a new homeless enabling scheme.
I can't say much more than that at this stage, but expect the band to feature yours truly, a couple of guys from Radiohead, Nick Mason from Pink Floyd and some other wunderkinders... watch this space...!

HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES
Well, the Hollywood Vampires were fun. A lot of fun. Justin from the Darkness seemed to enjoy my 'Roger Moore' quips whilst prancing around merrily in his safari suit and it was fantastic to see the boys back onstage with a great sound, playing through some of the classic Darkness songs.
